Pack Size Updates - Refused Prescriptions
When a pack size has been updated since a prescription was filled, the inventory is automatically adjusted to reflect the change. The original inventory that was filled is returned and an adjustment is automatically done to match the current pack size.
For example, Teva-Latanoprost has a pack size of 3 ml prior to a pack size update. After the pack size update, it has a pack size of 2.5 mL. A prescription was processed prior to the pack size update for 3 mL. After the pack size update, if the prescription is cancelled, the 3 mL is returned to the inventory and then an automatic adjustment is made to remove an additional 0.5 mL from the inventory to match the current pack szie.
This adjustment can be viewed in four spots:
- In the Shipment Details window under Shipment Adjustments.
- In the History tab of the Drug Folder.
- In the Notes tab of the prescription that was refused.
- In the Manual Adjustments report:
